Our Take
English Heritage membership has always been one of those “pays for itself if you use it” purchases — a couple of family visits to major sites like Dover Castle or Tintagel can already cover a decent chunk of the annual fee, and from there it’s essentially free days out all year. A 15% discount won’t set the world alight, but stacked onto a product that’s already good value, it’s a sensible nudge to sign up now rather than later, especially if you’re planning summer half-term or bank holiday trips to historic sites.
It’s worth noting this only works via Direct Debit, so if you were planning to pay upfront in one go, you’ll need to switch payment method to claim the saving. It’s also strictly for new memberships, so lapsed members renewing won’t qualify — worth bearing in mind if you’ve had membership before and let it lapse.
